“I first saw the U-505 submarine at Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry on a field trip in 8th grade. It was the most fascinating thing I had ever seen or experienced at that point in my life. To this day I remember the tour vividly. I even wrote stories about that day and drew pictures and may still have those buried in my youth junk drawer some where!” — Judy

“Recently, and for reasons that I do not fully understand, I followed the advice of Gary Player and visited the World Golf Hall of Fame and Museum in St Augustine, FL. There I saw old clubs that were used by famous golfers to win a number of major tournaments in the U.S., Ireland, England and Scotland. It was amazing!” – Jim

“The Museum of Science and Industry was such a cool venue for my Senior Prom! The tornado simulator shots my friends and I got would make Marilyn Monroe proud!” — Diane

“When I first visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art I was immediately drawn to the Egyptian wing. I couldn’t believe the epic nature of the Temple of Dendur and the grand sky-lit architectural way the museum displayed it. It was as if I had actually set foot in Egypt.” — Val

“As a fiber artist, my ‘fiber radar’ is never off-duty. On a recent trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the route to a special exhibit took me through Egyptian artifacts where I spotted a mummy whose wrappings stopped me in my tracks. The bands of intricately woven linen reminded me of lanyards from my days in summer camp”. – Ellen

“When I first became interested in art at age 10, I was fascinated by the work of El Greco. It was a great thrill years later as an adult to visit the Louvre in Paris and see his painting, ‘Christ on the Cross Adored by Two Donors’ in person.” — David

My favorite Museum Access Moment was the Fun House at the National Building Museum in DC. It was an interactive environment with many unique features, such as the shoe-ceiling and large ball pit. This is the perfect place to take Instagram-worthy photos. — Kyle
